Teens and young adults have a lot of energy and hormones raging in their systems. For many, the only outlet is a party! Unfortunately, this is never productive nor progressive. It’s a waste of time, energy and resources.
Let me tell you that there is a better party that is productive, progressive and brings greater fulfillment. Let me breakdown this party for you: P.A.R.T.Y.
Plan your day, plan your life! Many times we put of the essential task of planning because it is mentally demanding, yet it is the most critical task we need to do.
So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.
2 Chronicles 27:6
Greatness is planned. Greatness will not fall in your laps, you have to plan for it. To be honest with you, planning is not as tedious and boring as people say it is. It can actually be a fun event. Throw a planning party and invite your friends. You may not get as large a crowd as with other parties but party on anyway. Group your progressive friends together and have a “life board meeting”. Help each other make executable plans that will propel you to greatness. Set goals that will be your roadmap to success.
Be accurate in executing your goals. Practice the art and skill of precision in life. Don’t be shoddy or haphazard in the execution of your plans. David had 5 smooth stones to kill Goliath with, but he knew he only had one shot at it.
He had to be precise.
We are living in a very competitive world due to increased population, economy and many other factors. This means opportunities are becoming fewer. It is those who execute their plans with precision that will enjoy success in life.
A tree never falls with one stroke of the axe. Repetition is a key ingredient to success in life. Be consistent in doing the things that bring you closer to your dreams. Many remain stuck in one place in life because they lack consistency and determination. They try one thing, when it doesn’t work, they abandon it and try something else. Some things require this approach but many things require you stick to one thing and go at it consistently.
And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, “Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and your flesh shall be restored, and you shall be clean.”
2 Kings 5:10
Namaan’s healing was locked in the principle of consistency.
And he said, “Take the arrows,” and he took them. And he said to the king of Israel, “Strike the ground with them.” And he struck three times and stopped. 19 Then the man of God was angry with him and said, “You should have struck five or six times; then you would have struck down Syria until you had made an end of it, but now you will strike down Syria only three times.”
2 Kings 13:18-19
The King of Israel doomed his nation to failure because of failure to “repeat”. The battles of life are won by those who are determined to be consistent in things that require repetition.
Track your progress AND lack of it. Keeping track of what you are doing well and not so well helps you in your accuracy. You accurately apply the needed resources to the areas you need to address.
Know well the condition of your flocks,
and give attention to your herds.
You may not literally have flocks and herds, but you do have things you need to keep track of in your life. Be diligent in taking stock of your life, your plans, your progress and your dreams. Don’t live life on autopilot, keep track of what is happening.
It is wise to keep a diary of your progress. With today’s smartphones and their various apps, keeping track of life is easy and not inundating.
Yield to whatever God wills. Ultimately, the results aren’t in your hands. God has control over everything. But remember that He truly loves His children and wants what’s best for them. He loves it when we create plans to bring Him glory, without the selfish ambition of the world.
And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
God created us to be fruitful. He desires it. So yield the results to Him.
Let them shout for joy and be glad,
Who favor my righteous cause;
And let them say continually,
“Let the Lord be magnified,
Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”
God wants you to yield fruit. He is pleased, happy and delighted in your success. Even though He wants you to yield fruit, He won’t succeed for you. The pleasure is all yours! You have to PLAN, ACCURATELY execute your plans, REPEAT, TRACK and then YIELD the results to God.
Will you join me in my P.A.R.T.Y? The invitation is open.
Looking forward to partying with you!
