My failure is His success.
What do we define failure as? There have been many discussions as to what that elusive word means, but ultimately it is relative. What I consider successful you might consider a terrible mistake.
I’ve recently dealt with failure – a tangible, stinging failure that I was not expecting. However, before I completed my mission, I set it on the table before God. I said, “God, I pray that you’ll help me to accomplish this, but your will be done”. Ultimately His will was done. I felt like I had failed. I hadn’t reached the goal that I set for myself.
However, I am certain that my failure was His success. His will was done, and His plan was furthered, both for my life and for humanity.
And ultimately, God’s success is my success. His mission was accomplished. Another page was written in my book, and I trust it was written by my Father.
Though my trust in Him was shaken for a time, I now realize my only choice is to trust Him, this time with my whole life.
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
